Group Tours
Just east of Nanton, AB, this 100-year-old homestead — gifted by the late Dr. Jim Coutts — is now a vibrant space preserving the spirit of the west. Wander through lush gardens, explore repurposed outbuildings, and feel the history in every corner.
The Coutts Centre for Western Canadian Heritage offers a stunning backdrop for exploration, creativity, and learning. With over a hundred years of homestead history, expansive gardens in every season, repurposed heritage buildings, and sweeping prairie views, it’s a place where stories come alive.
Groups can observe and interact with historical, ecological and horticultural aspects of prairie gardens in an unforgettable setting. We look forward to welcoming you to discover, create, and connect.
School tour programs will captivate and inspire participants, foster curiosity, and encourage critical thinking.
But field trips aren’t just for school kids! Do you have a work team-building day coming up? A Guides or Scouts group looking for an exciting activity? Does your family picnic need some adventure? How about an interactive garden day to celebrate your birthday? Activity for your Club? All groups are welcome to book a program at the Coutts Centre! Come join us for a unique day out in nature and add some new knowledge to your repertoire in the process.
Fees for tours are by donation with a suggested $100 for a one-hour session, with a minimum of 5 people, maximum of 20 person per group. Speciality tours available upon request.
